The Philippine Food Technology Act of 2018 (RA 11052) mandates all graduates of Food Technology must take and pass the Food Technology Licensure Examination (FTLE) and the first FTLE will be held on August 22 and 23, 2024. In preparation for the FTLE, 2024 this in-house review is offered solely for BS Food Technology graduates of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition from 2013 to 2022 as well as the graduating class of 2024 and alumni who are not qualified to register as Professional Food Technologies (PFT) without examination. The review classes will cover the following topics based on the Table of Specifications of the Professional Regulations Commission:
Physical, Chemical, Biological and Microbiological Principles
Food Laws and Regulations, and Concepts of Food Science and Technology, Food Safety, Food Analysis, Food Research, and Nutrition
Food processing, Preservation and Food Engineering
Food Quality Assurance, Sensory Evaluation and Others Aspects of Manufacturing
