To introduce a more holistic perspective to the study of early cultures and societies in the Philippines through various lenses of archaeology, genetics, linguistics, oral traditions, historical documents, and ethnography.

Course Outcomes (CO)

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

 CO1.    Discuss the earliest humans in the Philippines based on archaeological evidences. 

CO2.    Examine various theories regarding the spread of Austronesian speaking populations in the Philippines using archaeological, genetic, and linguistic data. 

CO3.   Discuss the nature, political structure, economic system, and religion of early Philippine societies    based on archaeological evidences and other sources.
