It is a given that worldwide, the travel and tourism industry is dependent on transportation services. Transportation and travel could be discussed without considering tourism, but tourism cannot thrive without travel. And the most basic mode happens on the land. Land transportation is an integral part of the tourism industry. It is largely due to the improvement of land transportation management that tourism has expanded. Crucial to land transportation and tourism are the different available modes on foot, on a bicycle, and the use of public transportation specifically, rail and bus systems. It is thus important to have an awareness of the environment in which these modes must function, both today and in the future. Analysis of new approaches, techniques, and management tools employed by effective bus and railway managers as well as the breadth and challenge of strategic problems-the present and future that confront these bus and railway executives are explored in this course.
In a nutshell, it’s the management of tourist land transport services and facilities, from standard business practices in day-to-day operations to contemporary trends, issues, strategies, and development that define land transportation services.
