The class is a semester-long workshop in storytelling for visual mediums through the process and lens of writing. The framework for exploration in the class is screenwriting, primarily guided by principles of narrative and drama, as as a method for discovering one’s voice and engaging more deeply with our world. Through lectures, guided exercises, and take-home assignments, students will be exposed to a variety of techniques that are intended to build on their creative toolkits and diversify their approaches in crafting stories intended for the screen.
