This course introduces the concepts, values, and conservation of geoheritage and geodiversity. Students will learn how to identify, assess, map, and manage geoheritage sites (geosites), understand geodiversity in a spatial planning context, and explore strategies for geoconservation and sustainable development, including geotourism and geoparks. Through lectures, case studies, and fieldtrips/fieldworks, students will develop practical skills in geosite inventory, value assessment, and conservation planning.
