Computational Statistics. As the size of the data is getting bigger, the assumptions commonly required in classical statistical inference becomes difficult to satisfy. Instead of relying of sampling distributions and doing statistical inference, modeling and computational inference may be considered. This new strategy though is computing intensive. Programming in R will be an essential tool in this course.
