This
course introduces graduate students to leading scholarly traditions, debates,
and general theoretical approaches to the study of international relations. The
focus is on influential theories and paradigms that seek to explain a broad
range of international political phenomena rather than more specific issues
that are properly the subject of more specialized IR courses.
