This course introduces students to the discipline of Political Science. It contains the foundational concepts, theories and approaches that are essential to the study and analysis of politics and its dynamic context. It delineates types of political systems, regimes and institutional designs and provides ways of understanding how political institutions and processes develop and work. It allows students to apply this knowledge to textbook as well as, actual current cases not only in the Philippines but in other countries. POLSC 11 is the introductory course in the BA Political Science program.
