The course covers policies, programs, and services as social welfare.
By the end of the semester, the students will be able to:
1. Distinguish between social welfare policies, programs and services and how they influence the nature of programs, services and functions of social workers
2. Discuss key social welfare policies, programs, and services which are relevant to the practice of Social Work;
3. Explain how social work practice influence policies;
4. Illustrate the policy making cycle at the national and local levels.
