REVERTING UVLE UPLOAD LIMIT TO 250MB

During the transition of the new UVLe, we have temporarily set a 2GB upload limit to support restoration of at most 2GB old UVLe courses. It is intended during the first few weeks of 1st semester AY 2021-2022 to allow teachers to restore their old courses to the new UVLe.

Now that only a few are restoring courses to the new UVLe and classes are readily available, we are now reverting the upload limit to 250MB. We are implementing this immediately as there have already been users that  are taking advantage of the 2GB upload limit to upload full video files in their courses.

Please understand that we are implementing a 250MB upload limit to maintain a fair use for all users and to maintain the limited resources of UVLe. To upload large file resources, you may use the UP Google Drive because the storage is unlimited so that you can share the link directly to the UVLe as a URL resource. Just as an example, last semester, we used up close to 2TB of data when our upload limit was 100MB.

Guides and strategies for UVLe design are available at Course Redesign for Remote Learning.

Thank you very much.

Stay safe, everyone.
